ANNOUNCING:

WoC|CodeNova  (April 11-12)

a space-themed hackathon

 

[WoC]Code invites you to a 1.5 day hackathon designed in preparation for the 2025 NASA Space Apps challenge. We welcome participants of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced programmers. This event is an opportunity to apply your technical skills, collaborate with peers, and develop creative projects using publicly available datasets from satellites and astronomical archives.

--- WHEN: April 11, 5:00 PM – April 12, 6:00 PM

--- WHERE: UM A2, Central Campus Classroom Building

--- PLANNED ACTIVITIES:

  • Sonify the Universe by turning astronomical data into sound

  • Building educational games around Earth and Planetary Science

  • Evaluating publicly available satellite data to solve real-world problems

  • Work on real-world challenges from space

  • Collaborate with a diverse community of innovators
